FEW CASES FROM THE HOLY AL-QURAN

Assalamu'alaikum..hari ni terasa nak share tentang beberapa kaum yg diceritakan dalam al-quran..diri ini bukanlah org yang faqih dlm bidang seperti ini, so kalau ada salah silap bolehla diperbetulkan..actually, this is my part in doing assignment and presentation base on the topic "The Rise and Fall of Civillization" for the Basic Themes of Al-Quran(BTQ)..anyway, our assignment has been checked by our lecturer.Alhamdulillah we got full mark..so insyaAllah there is nothing wrong..tapi kalu ada gak silakan make it correct k..

'Ad People
•the people of prophet Hud.
•in surah Al-A’raaf verse 65; “ To the ‘Ad people, (We sent) Hud, one of their (own) brethren: “ O my people! Worship Allah! Ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Allah),”.

They worshipped false gods as well as rejected revelation of Allah and disobeyed His messengers. Allah has disaster them and replace with other community.
The punishment from Allah to the ‘Ad people is clearly stated in surah Al-Haaqqah:
“ And the ‘Ad-they were destroyed by a furious wind, exceedingly violent.” (69:6)
“ He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession. So that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as if they had been roots of hollow palm trees tumbled
down.”
(69:7)

Thamud People
•People of prophet Salih.
•The successors to the culture and civilization of the ‘Ad people.
•The standard of living of Thamud people was rising higher and higher during that time.
•Unfortunately, with the advance of materials civilization caused them become godless and arrogant.

•broken up into two fractions, the rich oppressing the poor and keep them out of the good things of life.
•They practiced wrong in doings and have no belief in Allah.
•rejected prophet Salih who sent by Allah to be a preacher of truth and as a warner to them.

In surah Hud verse 61, Allah said: “ To the Thamud people, (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: O my people! Worship Allah; ye have no other god but Him. It is He who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: Then ask for forgiveness of Him and turn to Him (in repentance), for my Lord is (always) near ready to answer”.

•Thamud people deny and disbelief what has been said by prophet Salih.
•They asked prophet Salih for a proof that can make they belief in prophet Salih as a messenger of Allah.
•As mentioned in surah Asy-Syu’araa’:

“ They said: Thou art only one of those bewitched ”(26:153)“ Thou art no more than a mortal like us: Then bring us a sign if thou tallest the truth!”(26:154)

Allah has fulfilled their request by giving them a clear proof, she-camel, as a sign for Thamud people. Allah said:“ To the Thamud people, (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: “ O my people! Worship Allah, ye have no other god but Him, now hath come unto you a clear (sign) from your God! This she-camel of Allah is a sign unto you. So leave her to graze in Allah’s earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment” (7:73)

•Arrogantly, they still do not obey the command’s of Allah. Moreover, they killed the she-camel.
•They said to prophet Salih, “ O Salih! Bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)”.
•Allah retributed Thamud people with a terrible earthquake and destroyed their boasted civilization.
•All of these are already
mentioned in surah Al-A’raaf from verse 76 to 78.

Bani Israel People

•people of prophet Moses.
•According to surah Taha from verse 85 to 97, it can be summarized that one of the Bani Israel people, Saamiri has been a traitor when he made a golden statue and called that as the Allah.
• Bani Israel people were tested by him during the absence of prophet Moses.
•Saamiri mislead them by claiming that a calf is their God and the God of Moses.

•as in surah Al-Baqarah from verse 55 to 56, it shows that people of Moses wanted to see Allah when prophet Moses asked them to obey Allah.
•they cannot even see the lightning.
•Allah raised them up, hoping they will thankful and obey to Allah.

•In surah Al-Qasas verse from verse 76 to 82, Qaarun who was a rich people among the Bani Israel, act arrogantly and cruelly to his people.
•he said that the wealth that he owned were all come due to his knowledge and excellence.
•Allah has retributed him by destroying him as well as his wealth.

To be the best ummah we should take the stories of the people before us as a lesson…Only then we do not repeat the same fault and we must improve ourselves, at every TIME and every WHERE in order to be GOOD MUSLIM/AH!!!Keep in mind, our heart, and our soul, whatever in this life the most important is MARDHOTILAH…
